About MeHannah Joan Mason is an Oregonian Filmmaker and Photographer with a passion for Directing and Cinematography. For as long as they could hold a camera, Hannah has had a natural affinity for telling stories from behind the lens. As a child, Hannah loved to watch not only their favorite movies—but the behind the scenes featurettes of their favorite movies--on repeat until they had every line, beat, and trick of the trade memorized. This thirst for film knowledge led them to Portland State University, where they studied film theory and worked in a variety of roles on student films, including writing, producing, directing, editing, and directing cinematography for their first narrative and documentary shorts WHEN IN THE WOODS and Inherently Human, ultimately earning their Bachelor’s Degree in Film.
Hannah aspires to create more films in the future, focusing on their favorite genre—Horror. Their current project is an absurdist, tooth-centric horror short film which they are currently writing the script for. EducationPortland State University | Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Film
